What? The Duck!

POINT STATE PARK, PITTSBURGH -- The Duck is flying the coop! Today is the last full day that Pittsburgh's giant yellow duckie will be on display at the Point. In case you didn't know that Pittsburgh has a huge yellow duckie, here's the website for its sponsor, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust:

I have seen it in the distance, bobbing near the Point, but I had not seen it up close. So I made the trek, and so did thousands of other people.

I had to laugh at the people and their cameras and phones and ipads taking group pictures and selfies and artsy shots. And then I realized I was doing the same thing. And except for one lady who tried to get everybody out of the way so only her 4 obnoxious kids would be in a photo with the Duck, everybody else was smiling. Even though it's 50 degrees and damp and gray. The Duck is just the biggest, cutest thing I've ever seen.

DUCK, GEESE, GEESE.

THEY COULD HAVE SOLD A ZILLION MORE OF EVERYTHING!
A (COLD) WEDDING PARTY
